Suggest you check the law relating to domicile on the net.e.

Was wondering the other day what happens if a person who is a dual national dies?(no silly answers like 'he gets buried' pleaselol).

This is something you should definitely discuss with a solicitor who specialises in such matters.
The 18 year rule is flexible and a rule of thumb, it depends a fair bit on whether you have any links with the old country of domicile, what your intentions are in terms of where you want your domicile to be etc etc - in short, severing all links with old country of domicile, establishing home, job, family etc in new country of domicile then declaring what your new country of domicile is to interested parties and living there a few years should be enough to convince a court. taxes etcinheritance tax threshold of approx £250,000 in uk - could be more now not sure.
