Mash.

Congrate to you, I too am applying for the same Visa, with the help of
an agent.
nbsp;May I ask which state you'll be heading and what type of Business you
nbsp;are taking up andbuy or set-up your own. I'm single
will that make easier for me to acquire my visa?

Mash- thanks, I appreciate it.

nbsp;Cheers,

When we get out there, we are hoping to be nominated for permanency by the hospital.

Secondly, did you or/and your wife go to Perth and talk to people
there, do interviews, or did she do it all from home?

thanks for any help

Helenmduftonwrote in message news:. Of course it would have been better to go across first!

Cheers

Mike
Congrats!

How long did the whole applicaton take.

My main question is, how much work is there in it for an employer if
they want to sponsor somebody for a 457 visa? My impression is that
most employers see it as a huge hassle and don't want to have anything
to do with it. That's heartening to hear you did it all from
home, so maybe there is a chance, albeit small.
nbsp;We all had medicals and x rays.

In terms of my wife’s job, we did it all from home, using the phone and internet.

Hello all

We have today received a letter from London letting us know that we have been granted a 4 year 457 visa.

Obviously we are over the moon!

I have posted quite a few queries on this site, and people have always been really helpful.
nbsp;
nbsp;Best wishes. Therefore I feel that I owe something back. We would have saved a week if we had attached the full birth certificate for my step son.
I notice you have a Step-Son, any problems with getting permission to take him out of the UK? I am assuming you had to send some sort of evidence with your application.

Cheers,

Mike
Hi Mike,

congratulations.

My wife is a registered nurse
She had been nominated by a hospital in Perth
We have a step son- her lad.

Fortunately, no father was named on the full birth certificate.

What do you intend to do about PR, if indeed you intend to stay?
Hi Mike,

thanks for your answer.

It took us 5 weeks. Did they question anything or was it straight forward?

We are applying for PR and are in the process of getting an Affadavit from my son's father. . ] localhost/w-

They also need to demonstrate that they will fulfil various obligations to the prospective immigrant, in terms of working conditions etc.

people, like hospitals, who're willing to go this way. Don't like it, can
always go home again, I guess. Therefore I feel that I owe something back.

I know that most people are applying for a permanent visa, applying for a temporary visa is nowhere near as complex, but it is still daunting for the person applying.

hello there,

yes, can you help me?

I too am applying for the same visa and also with an agent.

We have some friends in Perth in the same position, and are now applying for permanency.

Well Done. My hubby's in IT where
they ALWAYS state don't bother applying if you don't have the right to
work in oz etc.

Thanks for any info in advance
Hi Tina

Actually, this was something that I was quite worried about, as my wife has not had contact with the father since her son was born- there was no way she would want to contact him.

KMCLSL- we are going to Perth, but my wife is taking up a post at a hospital, rather than setting up a business. I sent a 457 IE application in a week ago. Therefore I feel that I owe something back.

Hi Helen

Apparently, an employer needs to demonstrate that they have endeavoured to find an Australian who can fill the post, and have been unable to.
We all had medicals and x rays.

Vanessa- I am sure that you will have no problem with an application just in your name.

As it happened, we sent all the documents off to London, including our birth certificates (which were the shortened versions).
May I ask which state you'll be heading and what type of Business you
are taking up andbuy or set-up your own.
